The steak is usually cut into thin strips or slices so you can easily pick it up to snack on. You can use the oven but nothing beats being able to dry the cut slices in the hot sun so choose a hot day to prepare the meat.

This is a great dish to take along if you are going for a drive and wanting to keep the children happy with snacks or meeting up with friends for a BBQ or a picnic. The children absolutely love it and the adults find it fantastic with drinks.

Done properly, the flavor is just awesome and finger licking good and we Thais love to take it with Thai Salad dishes like Som Tam, fresh vegetables, warm sticky rice and of course alcoholic drinks.

Once you start, you will not be stopping at one. What can I say? The aromatic smell and flavor of the spices like the coriander and the fennel that penetrates through in the after taste is amazingly awesome!

I guess that is why this dish is called Heavenly Beef or Nua Sawan to the Thais!
